Laura Kenyon trained with KPMG and held a number of senior roles in Financial Planning and Strategy teams for Gap; Sainsbury’s and Moss Bros before founding LKA Chartered Accountants from her spare room in 2012. Her aim was to build a female-led team to bring big business commercial thinking to small and medium sized companies. Her firm now employs 18 staff, based in SW London and Surrey, serving over 800 clients with a focus on entrepreneurs and growth businesses. Winners of the Accounting Excellence Small Firm of the year (Southern England) in 2023 and Tolley’s Tax Awards Small Firm of the year in 2022, Laura’s vision is to change the perception of accountants from historic reporting and compliance-based number crunchers, to being trusted forward-looking business partners, streamlining and enhancing financial processes using technology.
